Punto Banco Standards
Baccarat chemin de fer is played with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, however the beginning number is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a total of 1 (5 plus six = 11; ignore the initial ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be given using the rules below:
- If the gambler or banker gets a total of eight or nine, the two players hold.
- If the player has five or lower, she hits. Players stays otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the bank hits on five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to decide if the bank stands or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The better of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19 to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and paid off once you quit the game so ensure you still have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays out at 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen lower than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on correctly punto banco provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Course of Action
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has quite a few established misconceptions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of future events. Keeping score of previous results at a table is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most familiar and probably the most favorable method is the one-three-two-six method. This tactic is deployed to pump up winnings and limit risk.
Begin by betting 1 chip. If you win, add another to the two on the table for a sum total of three dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold 6 on the game table, subtract 4 so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. If you come away with a win on the third wager, deposit two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a hit on the second causes a hit of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And success on the first 3 with a hit on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning all four bets gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you are able to squander the second bet five instances for each favorable streak of 4 wagers and in the end, balance the books.
