Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 results in a value of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pays eight to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are actually better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)

When done accurately, baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of prior conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and feasibly most successful technique is the one-3-two-6 method. This process is deployed to accentuate payout and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
