Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under 10 are said to be at their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only act as the two hands to be played).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 produces a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card could be given depending on the following standards:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pays 8 to 1 and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are emphatically better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)
Played correctly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with many games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future events. Tracking of prior results on a chart is a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six technique. This process is used to pump up earnings and minimizing risk.
start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
