Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are of their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely symbolize the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five gives a total score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card may be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, both players stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays out at 8 to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Still, odds are greatly better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)
Played correctly, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future results. Keeping track of previous conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-six concept. This technique is deployed to increase winnings and controlling risk.
commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
