Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are valued at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they simply portray the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … 5 produces a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card could be given out depending on the following rules:
- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, the two players stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to 1 and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Even so odds are positively better – nine to one versus 8 to one)
Played effectively, baccarat presents relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of old conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 scheme. This technique is deployed to boost payouts and reducing risk.
Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.
If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
