Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of 10 are give a value of face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply act as the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five gives a total of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays out at eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are significantlly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)
When done correctly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Keeping track of previous results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and probably most successful method is the 1-three-two-six scheme. This scheme is used to pump up payouts and minimizing risk.
commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet.
