Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than 10 are said to be at their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven and five will have a value of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be given depending on the following guidelines:
- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or nine, both bettors stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of prior conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and probably most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six method. This method is used to magnify payouts and controlling risk.

A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
