Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under ten are of face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 gives a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. regulations:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pay 8 to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
When done smartly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of last conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 concept. This schema is used to accentuate successes and reducing risk.
commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
