Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under 10 are said to be worth face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of two cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 gives a total of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, each bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie customarily pay out 8 to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties happen less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. However odds are considerably better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to 1)
When played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with every games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future results. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-six technique. This schema is deployed to amplify wins and limiting risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th bet.
If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
