Baccarat banque is gambled on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are counted at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the cards, however the first number is discarded. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus 6 equals 11; dump the first ‘one’).

Gambled on properly baccarat gives pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
