Baccarat Standards
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just symbolize the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 … five has a tally of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be played depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or nine, each gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay out eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. abstain from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)
Played properly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This technique is employed to pump up successes and minimizing risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
