Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly represent the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven and five results in a value of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given out depending on the following protocols:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays out at eight to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are supremely better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)
When done correctly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future actions. Keeping track of old conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and almost certainly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 method. This schema is employed to boost winnings and lowering risk.
start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
